So frustrating! I know the frustration of slow connections. Funny to think that a few short years ago we didn't even have the internet.
I am very thankful for online relationships, but it is interesting to ponder what life would have been like without cyber-communication.
I remember LETTERS. Now the only things that come in the mail are bills.
I remember phone calls. Now, more often than not I'll get an email from a friend or relative rather than the pleasure of hearing that loved one's voice.
I remember family games... and now we often play solitaire or freecell or some other game we can do alone.
Oh, there are plenty of good things about the internet and new electronic gadgets, I know. My children DO play games together online, which connects married kids with unmarried as they compete with each other. I love instant communication, and I love to be able to read the thoughts of men and women of God, both alive on earth and alive in heaven. I don't think I'd want to go back to the pre-electronics age.
Just once in a while, though, I'd like to open my mailbox to find a letter!
